Bar LD Jill

Jill

"Jill" was my first working border collie. She has been a great dog to learn with, as she is very natural. Her instinct to locate, gather, control stock is very strong. Even as a pup, everything always had to be together. She is a natural outrunner and has a intensely strong eye'd working style. I have had a lot of fun taking clinics and working with Jill. Jill has experience working both cattle and sheep. She is very confident on sheep, and is really gaining strength as a cowdog.

Jill was the Lakeland College Stock Dog Clubs 2010 Champion @ the club hosted Sheep dog Trial. She placed Second in 2008, being beat by none other than my "Jack".

On her days off, Jill is also my roommate, travel partner, riding buddy and best friend. Jill is very clean, and organized! I'm not kidding when I say organized. She has a toy box, which she will gather and keep her toys in when she is not playing!

Jill loves to travel. She enjoys playing fetch with anyone who will throw anything that she can retrieve. Jill’s ball drive would make her an excellent candidate for Fly-ball or agility events, however my main passion is working the herding instinct.

Jack

"Jack" is the second border collie that I have tried my hand at training. I acquired Jack when he was 2 years old, and we have been partners ever since! He has a very different work ethic from Jill, and tends to move more freely around his stock. He has been a great dog to have around as not only is he a good hand, Jack has been a good starter dog! He has been worked by a close friend of mine as a dairy hand and also helped teach my mom a thing or two about working dogs! I look forward to continuing Jacks education and developing his confidence on cattle.

Jack has the sweetest, most kind and loving disposition I have ever had the opportunity to meet in a dog. He is very gentle and loves attention. Jack is the type of dog you just can't help but love! His beautifully unique markings make him stand out from the rest.

Jack is available for stud services to approved females. He has sired 5 litters which have shown a lot of herding instinct.  Jack has sired 3 litters of Red & White Tri colored Border Collies, and is also the proud sire of an approved Live Search & Rescue dog.

Miss

"Miss" is the newest addition to the Family. Born in October 2008, She is a Daughter of Elvin Kopp's fantastic "Cody" dog, out of my "Jill."
Miss was raised as a pup here, being the runt of the litter. Miss & I have had a deep bond since her birth, and I plan to give her every opportunity to reach the top of her game. At little over a year old Miss is already showing traits from both parents, including her inherent skill from father Cody in his ability to read and control livestock with a calm assertive nature. She is showing a high level of maturity on her stock, is a natural outrunner, and very expressive on stock. I look forward to my future working her!
